What to expect in a classification 15 film

Our film noir will be predominately aimed at 15 year old, this is due to the content we want to include and this then enables a huge percentage of film goers the opportunity to watch it. The content may be to strong for anyone less than 15 but we don't want it to also be to strong for a 15 year old, consequently then gaining the classification of 18 because this would then cut out a lot of film goers because 10% of people that go to the cinema are aged 15. We also wanted to make our film rated 15 because we as a group watch aged 15 films and we individually know what we want to get out of a film consequently we can use our own preferences as a guideline to what other 15+ people desire in a film. Lastly it would be extremely hard for us to make an 18 because they include sexual scenes, drug taking and the perks of drug taking and these would be extremely hard to film with no budget and we would have to find actors that were willing to participate in the film naked and I'm sure our teacher doesn't want to see sexual scenes.
The BBFC (British Board Of Film Classification) prohibits these guidelines for a classification film of 15.

Theme: No theme is prohibited, provided the treatment is appropriate to 15 year olds.

Language: There may be frequent use of strong language; the strongest terms are only rarely acceptable. Continued aggressive use of strong language and sexual abuse is unacceptable.

Nudity: There are no constraints on nudity in a non-sexual or educational context.

Sex: Sexual activity and nudity may be portrayed but without strong detail. The depiction of casual sex should be handled responsibly. There may be occasional strong verbal references to sexual behaviour.

Violence: Violence may be strong but may not dwell on the infliction of pain, and of injuries. Scenes of sexual violence must be discreet and brief.

Imitable techniques: Dangerous combat techniques such as ear claps, head-butts and blows to the neck are unlikely to be acceptable. There may be no emphasis on the use of easily accessible lethal weapons (in particular, knives).

Horror: Sustained or detailed infliction of pain or injury is unacceptable.

Drugs: Drug taking may be shown but clear instructive detail is unacceptable. The film as a whole must not promote or encourage drug use.

Because we are only prohibited to our OTS being 2 minutes the footage may not seem to fall into the classification of 15 but we will bare in mind the rest of the film and this may be what acquires the certificate 15.
Our film will be promoted and released into the British market so we want to make the OTS have a British persona and provide a quality film for the enjoyment of the British public.
