Film noir

I was told that I would be studying Film industries and would make a short film noir movie and throughout my studies I would post all my research, findings, conclusions and progress reports on a blog which I’d have to make.I had never heard of the term film noir before, so I wanted to find out a little background information about it before I was thrown in the deep end and sank, so I did a little research to help me build an understanding to what I was actually being asked to do.
